    Born in Japan. Tomoko is an independent fibre artist and designer based in Broome, Western Australia. She previously worked in roles involving management and creative coordination and direction for commercial fashion photography and graphic design companies. Tomoko has since been specialising in textile work. Her works have appeared in solo and group exhibitions, she also gained experience in installation art. Tomoko’s Neo Japonism at Broome Courthouse Markets is small scale versions of the Japanese cultural craft and art. Handmade, unique and very special.

    Singapore born, UK raised,and now living in Broome, Australia, Kerry Anne Jordinson is a self-taught artist working successfully across a broad range of media. Singapore born, UK raised,and now living in Broome, Australia, Kerry Anne Jordinson is a self-taught artist working successfully across a broad range of media. Kerry’s love of drawing started at a very early age and began to develop whilst living in the Goldfields of Western Australia for many years. In both the Kalgoorlie and Broome, her work has reflected her local environment. She is principally interested in depicting the human form, although much of her work also deals in landscapes. Kerry paints and draws every day, and remains busy with private commissions, freelance illustration and exhibitions. She has written and illustrated books for children, and enjoys sharing her love of art to adults and children at art classes.

    Working in the arts and entertainment industry with a focus on Indigenous art development, stall host Paul Boon is a self-taught didjeridoo player with a variety of performances and recordings from Broome to Broadway. Groovylips Art Craft specialises in Indigenous art and craft and non-Indigenous prints and also stocks a selection of didgeridoos.
  • Sally’s Silks

    Artist, Sally Bin Demin grew up in Broome in the years after the war, learning the traditions of many differerent cultures, and loving the pure environment, with the rich blue ocean, the red earth and the brilliant sunsets – which today inspire her work. It was only after she had supposedly retired that Sally started working on her silk paintings and scarves, which she creates in her back yard. She works long hours every day except Saturday mornings, when she has a lie-in while her husband, Steve sells her work at the market!
